1. Alex Costello reports that Nassau County police are investigating the murder of a man found in Uniondale Wednesday night. A man was found lying in the road at the intersection of Alexander Avenue and Lee Road at 8:50 p.m. (Patch)
2. Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital in Oceanside has been approved for breast and lung cancer treatments and is seeking patients to enroll in clinical studies. (Subscription: Newsday)

6. Nassau Board of Elections says they won't count the remaining absentee ballots until next week. More than 22,000 absentee ballots and 1,200 affidavit ballots will be counted beginning Nov. 15. (The Island Now)
