Here are the top stories in Five Towns today:
- Jerry Barmash tells us that women's basketball hall-of-famer Nancy Lieberman is donating five playground courts across Nassau County. The first so-called "Dream Court" opened Thursday at Inwood Park. North Woodmere Park and Wantagh Park are next and possibly Eisenhower Park, Nickerson Beach and the Five Towns Community Center. - Patch also reports that a man was rescued from a submerged vehicle at the Bay Park boat launch in East Rockaway on Thursday night. The 66-year-old male victim was found screaming for help and clinging onto the edge of the dock, but did not need medical attention after he was pulled from the water. (Patch)
