Fourth Precinct Report, July 26-Aug. 2

Police report arrests and incidents of theft, identity theft and damage.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Elsie Joseph, 57, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on July 29 and charged with shoplifting groceries at on Peninsula Boulevard in Hewlett.
  • Kevin Flynn, 48, of Valley Stream, was arrested on July 30 and charged with DWI on Route 878 and Mott Avenue in Inwood.

  • A victim told police on July 13 that a bank official had notified her that an unknown person attempted to access her checking account.
  • An unknown person(s) scratched a vehicle that was parked at the intersection of Beech Street and Mohawk Avenue in East Atlantic Beach, a complainant reported to police on July 25.
  • An unknown suspect damaged an arcade game and two wooden doors at a business located on Ocean Boulevard in Atlantic Beach, a complainant reported to police on July 26.
  • A victim told police on July 26 that while she was doing her credit check, she noticed that there were five accounts in her name that she did not open.
  • An unknown person stole an iPod and glasses from the inside of a vehicle that was parked on Avon Road in Hewlett, a complainant reported to police on July 29.
  • Faucets, sinks and plumbing supplies were stolen from a garage located on McGlynn Place in Cedarhurst, a complainant reported to police on July 31.
  • The rear window of a vehicle that was parked on McGlynn Place in Cedarhurst was broken, a complainant reported to police on July 31.
  • A GPS unit and $2 were taken from a vehicle that was parked on Argyle Road in Cedarhurst, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 1.
  • Two outdoor chairs were stolen from the outside of a residence on Rochester Avenue in East Atlantic Beach, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 1.
