76-Year-Old Dies After Woodmere Crash: Police
The crash took place just before 9:30 a.m., police say.
WOODMERE, NY. — A 76-year-old man died Monday after a car crash that took place just before 9:30 a.m. in Woodmere, police said.
Nassau County police said the 76-year-old was traveling westbound on West Broadway in a Nissan Rogue when his vehicle was struck by an eastbound BMW convertible, being operated by a 17-year-old boy. The BMW then struck a westbound Mazda driven by a 67-year-old woman, police said.
The 76-year-old was the only person in the Nissan and was hospitalized after the accident, police said. He was pronounced dead by hospital staff, police said. The driver of the BMW and his 16-year-old passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries, with no other injuries reported, police said.

All drivers remained at the crash site and an investigation is ongoing, police said. No charges related to the crash were reported Tuesday.
