Fourth Precinct Report, May 15-23

Police report arrests for DWI and shoplifting and incidents of theft and mischief.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Augusta Caldwell, 66, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on May 16 and charged with DWI at the intersection of Rockaway Turnpike and Buena Vista Avenue in North Lawrence.
  • Josephine Alade, 28, of Laurelton, was arrested on May 19 and charged with shoplifting at the Lowes at 253-01 Rockaway Boulevard in Meadowmere.
  • Jason Behar, 21, of Hewlett, was arrested on May 20 and charged with DWI on Stevenson Road in Hewlett.
  • Peter John Canarelli Jr., 34, of Bethpage, was arrested on May 21 and charged with shoplifting at the Lowes at 253-01 Rockaway Boulevard in Meadowmere.

  • An unknown person(s) between May 12 and 16 removed a laptop from a vehicle that was parked on Midwood Road in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) between May 16 and 17 took money, a child's booster seat and a Garmin GPS unit from a vehicle that was parked on Central Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) on May 17 stole a scooter from the driveway of a residence on Greenfield Road in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) on May 17 took a laptop bag from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Edward Avenue in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) between May 18 and 19 removed assorted coins from a vehicle that was parked on Cumberland Place in Lawrence.
  • An unknown person(s) between May 18 and 20 took assorted coins from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Lord Avenue in Lawrence.
  • An unknown person(s) on May 20 keyed the side of a vehicle that was parked on Pearsall Place in Inwood.
  • An unknown person(s) between May 20 and 21 removed money from a vehicle that was parked on Janet Place in North Woodmere.
