- Jerry Barmash reports multiple shots were fired Friday night in Elmont and a man was killed. The incident happened around 6 p.m. near St. Vincent's de Paul Church on Raff Ave. (Patch)
- News 12 Long Island explains that a new Environmental Education and Resiliency Center opened Thursday at Hempstead Lake State Park. The 8,000 square-foot center is part of a project to ease flooding, improve water quality, and enhance recreational access at the park. (News 12)
- Juan Lasso talks to two Valley Stream female entrepreneurs who started a five-person colored equity and entrepreneurial support group known informally as Cannigroup for minorities breaking into the cannabis business.
