Hewlett Men Arrested for Stealing Jewerly

Police say brothers then sold items to secondhand dealerships.

A pair of Hewlett brothers was arrested on Friday after they allegedly stole $3,500 of jewelry from an Oceanside residence and sold them to local secondhand jewelry dealerships, according to police.

Christopher Picone, 22, and Victor Picone, 24, was working construction at a residence on Long Beach Road in Oceanside when they allegedly took the jewelry from the victim’s bedroom.

Christopher Picone is being charged with four counts of burglary in the second degree, two counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree. Victor Picone is being charged with burglary in the second Degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.

Both defendants are scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
