- Jerry Barmash reports that a pedestrian hit by a car last month crossing Peninsula Blvd. succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Tobias Levkovich, 60, of Woodmere, was hit on Sept. 1. (Patch)
- Nassau County legislature approved $106 million in cuts of real estate and parking fees. The Republican-sponsored bill wanted to reduce the budget burden on residents' fees. (Subscription: Newsday)
- Police are looking for information about a robbery in Oceanside last week. Around 6:20 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 24 a burglary happened at First Manufacturing Company at 3800 West Oceanside Rd. (Daily Voice)
- A Bethpage man is looking for the perfect bone marrow donor match. Brian Kevan, 52, retired from the FDNY this year due to 9/11-related illness and now his family and friends are urgently searching for a donor to help extend his life. Kevan developed cancer from working at Ground Zero. (Patch)
