Man Seriously Hurt In Fall From Excavator In Inwood: Police
He was conscious and alert when taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, Nassau police say.
INWOOD, NY — A 49-year-old man fell off the platform of an excavator onto the ground and was seriously hurt in Inwood on Tuesday morning, Nassau police said.
He fell at Inwood Material Terminal on Sheridan Boulevard just after 8 a.m., police said, adding that the Inwood Fire Department treated him for back trauma.
He was conscious and alert, and was taken by helicopter to a local nearby hospital for further treatment, according to police.
