Mason Worker Hit By Payloader While On Job In Nassau: Police

NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — A mason yard worker was killed in North Lawrence on Monday morning, police said.

A 33-year-old man was operating a large payloader on Johnson Road when he struck a 54-year-old male employee, police said.

The victim, identified as Michael Porter, 54, of Bellport, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating.
