Police ID Man Killed In Nassau Hit-And-Run Crash

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Francisco Javier Cabrera, 47, of Valley Stream, was identified as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash earlier this week, Nassau police said.

Officers responded to Broadway near Ash Street in Valley Stream for a report of a man bleeding in the roadway around 7:55 p.m. Monday, police said. Cabrera suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police are seeking the driver who fled after hitting Cabrera, authorities said.
