  1. Patch explains that smart lockers are coming to the Peninsula Public Library. The smart lockers, which cost $15,000-$17,000, allow customers more flexibility since they don't have to be inside the library to pickup and return books. (Patch)
  2. Jerry Barmash writes that officers were hurt when they attempted to arrest a Roosevelt man on Friday. Gregory Booker, 57, refused to comply with multiple verbal commands at the corner of Woods Avenue and Gilbert Place. (Patch)
  3. WIPX 11 repots that a man was menacing commuters with a knife Monday morning at the Hicksville LIRR station. It happened before 6 a.m. (WPIX 11 New York)
  4. Patch has the weather warnings for today's Nor'Easter. A flash flood watch is in effect from Monday night at 8 p.m. until Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Nassau and a wind advisory will last from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. (Patch)
