Shoplifting At Green Acres Macy's Leads To Assault On Officer: Police
Oswald Bryann also faces charges of resisting arrest and petit larceny from the Thursday afternoon incident, police said.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Queens man was arrested for a shoplifting incident at the Green Acres Macy's after hurting an officer, police said.
Just before 4 p.m. Thursday, Oswald Bryan, 51, took several items of merchandise, entered the dressing room and concealed the items in a reusable bag, police said.
He attempted to pass all points of purchase and exit the store, but Bryan was by store officers, who were able to place him into custody after a brief struggle, authorities said.

One officer was injured during the arrest and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Bryan is charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and petit larceny. He was expected to be arraigned on Friday.
