Thief Busts Through Long Island Car Dealer Window In Stolen Nissan: Police

He broke into the dealer then used key left inside the SUV to "quickly reverse" it and then drive through a bay door, cops say.

INWOOD, NY — Just like the movie ... it was gone in 60 seconds, kind of.

Someone broke a glass garage door Saturday night at the Rockway Nissan on Burnside Avenue in Inwood where they got inside a 2021 gray Nissan Rogue, used keys left inside the SUV by the dealership to start the SUV, and after a few minutes accelerated quickly in reverse only to crash through the service bay door, Nassau cops say.

The subject sped away westbound on Burnside Avenue toward Sheridan Boulevard, according to police.
