Man Found Dead In Waters Near College Point Yacht Club: NYPD

COLLEGE POINT, QUEENS -- A man was found dead in waters near the College Point Yacht Club in Queens on Thursday morning, authorities said.

Police found the man, estimated to be in his forties, floating unresponsive in Powell Cove after someone called 911 about a person in the water at about 9:30 a.m.

Emergency responders brought the unidentified man to shore at the College Point Yacht Club near Powell's Cove Boulevard and 126th Street, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
