Subway Pest Punches Rider Without Warning On Queens 7 Train: NYPD

Despite harassing other riders on the train, he didn't exchanged so much as a word with this man before popping him in the face, police say.

FLUSHING, QUEENS -- One unlucky subway rider ended his train ride to Queens with a black eye after a subway nuisance he'd never met clocked him in the face without warning, police said.

The 35-year-old man wasn't the first target of the unknown pest, who began harassing passengers after he boarded a northbound 7 train at around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 6, police said.

But he was the only one to get hurt when the man walked up to him without a word and sucker punched him in the face, cops said. The two didn't know each other.

After the wordless assault, which left the rider with bruises to the left side of his face, the puncher hopped off the train at the Main Street subway station in Flushing and fled, police said.

Cops described the suspect as a black-haired, brown-eyed man who looked to be around 25 years old, standing at around 6-foot-5 and weighing roughly 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue work jacket with a black baseball hat, hoodie and pants.
