Woman Beaten, Sexually Assaulted In Murray Hill, Police Say

The woman was punched several times during the attack.

MURRAY HILL, QUEENS – A woman was beaten and sexually assaulted on a Queens street Tuesday, police said. A man punched his victim in the face several times during the attack.

Surveillance video shows the man walking from the scene at 165th St. and Sanford Ave. in Murray Hill. He's described as between 20 and 25 years old, 5-foot-5 and wearing a blue jacket with a fur-lined hood. He was carrying a dark backpack.

The attack happened at 2 a.m., police said.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she was treated and released, police said.
