Beloved Cookie Chain To Open Forest Hills Store On Friday
Neighbors can try Chip City's new popcorn-topped cookie on Friday before it debuts citywide. The first 100 customers get free cookies, too.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Neighbors in Forest Hills don't have to go farther than Austin Street to eat giant, gooey cookies as of Friday.
Chip City, a local chain known for its oversized cookies that come in an array of fun flavors, is opening its first Forest Hills outpost, located at 72-34 Austin Street, at 11 a.m. on Jan 14.
The grand opening, which has been in the works for a few months, also marks the opening of Chip City's tenth location in New York; the cookie company's flagship location is in Astoria, and it operates three other shops in northwest Queens, in addition to five locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan.

In celebration of its citywide cookie expansion, the first 100 customers at Forest Hill's Chip City will get to pick out one of the shop's cookies-of-the-day; similar to other Chip City stores, the Forest Hills outpost will stock four cookie flavors per-day that rotate out on a regular basis.
The opening comes a few days before National Popcorn Day, on Jan. 19, which Chip City is celebrating with a 'Chocolate Popcorn Crunch' cookie created in partnership with Orville Redenbacher’s.
