Blaze Erupts At Senior Living Facility Near Forest Hills, FDNY Says
No seniors were hurt during the blaze, which took firefighters about an hour to control, according to the FDNY.

QUEENS, NY — A fire broke out at a senior living facility on the edge of Forest Hills Tuesday night, according to the FDNY.
The blaze began about 7:15 p.m. at Castle Senior Living Forest Hills, a senior residence at 108-25 Horace Harding Expressway, located off the expressway between Penrod Street and Saultell Avenue, fire officials confirmed.
Firefighters quickly issued an all-hands alarm, and rushed to the 7-story building to quell flames that started on the 6th floor, according to the FDNY.

After fighting the fire for roughly an hour, about 8:10 p.m., firefighters got the blaze under control, the FDNY said.
No one was hurt in the fire, and its cause is still under investigation, fire officials told Patch.

The senior resident is located across the street from a gas station where a homeless father was fatally stabbed in May, Patch reported.
