Bradley Cooper Spotted Filming In Forest Hills, Eagle-Eyed Locals Say

Neighbors speculated that Bradley Cooper was filming the upcoming Leonard Bernstein biopic "Maestro," for which he's already shot in NYC.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Eagle-eyed residents in Forest Hills recently spotted a familiar — albeit not to the neighborhood — face around Forest Hills.

Bradley Cooper was seen filming around Seasongood Road and Summer Street this week, neighbors said, posting photos supposedly of the actor, and the film setup, on Facebook.

The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment did not respond to Patch's repeated requests for confirmation that Cooper is filming in Forest Hills.

As neighbors pointed out, though, the actor is in the midst of filming the upcoming Leonard Bernstein biopic "Maestro," including some shooting in New York City.

The neighbor who made the post said it looked like a party scene was being shot in the area, and speculated that it could be a staging of Aaron Copland's 1937 birthday party, where the two composers met.

Another tell-tale sign that Cooper was filming "Maestro," according to neighbors, is the vintage cars parked around the area, which looked like they were from the 1940s, when Bernstein ascended to fame.

The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment also did not respond to Patch's inquiry about the duration of filming, but one local who spoke with producers said neighbors hoping to see Cooper should go to the are sooner rather than later, as filming is wrapping Saturday, she said.

Filming in Forest Hill is not unusual as the bucolic, suburban-like enclave of New York City is a popular place for shooting. Recently, the hit CBS cop drama "Blue Bloods" filmed in the area, Patch reported.

"Maestro" is set to be released by Netflix in 2023.
