Explosion Sounds In Forest Hills Not Cause For Alarm, NYPD Says
The loud bangs, which police said could happen between noon and 5 p.m., are part of filming for a CBS cop drama, Patch learned.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — If you hear a loud bang in Forest Hills Wednesday afternoon, don't be alarmed.
"Blue Bloods," a hit CBS cop drama, is filming scenes in the neighborhood with "simulated explosions" between noon and 5 p.m., the NYPD warned neighborhoods.
Most of the loud bangs should come from Loubet Street, between 68th and 69th avenues, police said.

The TV show is also shooting scenes on 72nd Road and 72nd Avenue between Queens Boulevard and Austin Street, a spokesperson for the city's office of entertainment told Patch, but police didn't indicate that there would be explosive sounds in that part of the neighborhood.
Parking on 72nd Road and 72nd Avenue, however, is slightly limited, the spokesperson said.

"Blue Bloods" is currently at the tail end of its 12th season, starring Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, and others as NYC law enforcement officials
A CBS representative did not immediately respond to Patch's inquiry as to whether or not this week's filming is connected to the current season or an upcoming season.
The show hasn't been publicly renewed for a 13th season yet.
