Fake Cops Steal $10K From Handcuffed Woman's Queens Home: NYPD

The two men kicked down the woman's door, cuffed and robbed her, then sped away in a Ford Mustang, police said.

QUEENS, NEW YORK — A Queens woman was handcuffed and robbed of $10,000 by two fake cops who broke down her front door, according to police.

The two police impersonators rang the doorbell of a 27-year-old woman, who lives near Woodhaven Boulevard and Doran Avenue, about 1:05 a.m. on July 23, the NYPD said.

The fake cops said they were looking for the woman's boyfriend, then kicked open her front door and locked her in cuffs, police said.

The men stole $10,000 from the house before jumping in a Ford Mustang and speeding away, police said.

Surveillance footage shows the two men approaching the front door, spotting the camera and blocking its lens.
