FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Chabad of Forest Hills North will host a community party in the neighborhood to celebrate Purim, a holiday commemorating the Jewish people’s salvation in Persia.

The Jewish education center will throw the community party on March 7 with a buffet dinner, a reading, costumes, and dancing.

The celebrations will feature a reading of the Book of Esther, known in Hebrew as the Megillah, at 4:45 p.m.

Attendees are also encouraged to come in costumes, as is the tradition in Purim.

Tickets are available here, with children starting at $15 and adults at $25.
