Friday: Central Queens Y Camp and Forest Hills Library Kids Program

Children will be able to make crafts at the library or travel to a Long Island campground through a program at the Y.

The Forest Hills Library is hosting a program Friday for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years. The class will include stories and crafts. It will be held at 11:30 a.m.

The library is located at 108-19 71st Ave. in Forest Hills.

And the Central Queens Y kicked off the second session of its summer Pioneer Day Camp this week.

The program, which is aimed at students in kindergarten through fifth grade, will run until Aug. 17.

Campers spend the day at a 375-acre campground on Long Island that has a swimming pool, woodlands, athletic facilities, shelters, shaded campfire areas and nature trails.
