At Least 1 Hurt After Driver Ran Red Light In Forest Hills: Officials

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — At least one person is hurt after a driver ran through a red light in Queens and crashed into another vehicle, according to officials.
The crash happened at about 9 a.m. near 63rd Road and Yellowstone Boulevard in Forest Hills, officials said.

Both NYPD and FDNY members rushed to the scene, blocking off traffic and aiding those involved in the crash while car fragments lay in the road, photos show.
Injury reports from the NYPD and FDNY are conflicting — the former says one person was hurt, and the latter says there were two "minor" injuries.

Both agencies, though, confirmed that one person was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
While police couldn't confirm the injured person's role in the crash, an NYPD spokesperson said that there was no mention of any pedestrian injuries.
