Man Killed After Jumping In Front Of Queens Bus: Police

A man died Sunday evening in an apparent suicide after he jumped in front of a Q55 bus in Glendale, according to the police.

GLENDALE, QUEENS — A man died Sunday evening in an apparent suicide after he jumped in front of a Q55 bus in Glendale, according to the police.

The bus driver was heading west along Myrtle Avenue about 6:20 p.m. when, as he passed through the intersection at 85th Street, he crashed into the 35-year-old man, police said.

Eyewitnesses told detectives with the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad that the man had jumped in front of the bus, according to a police spokesperson.

First responders rushed the man to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he died.

The crash is under investigation.
