The funds will go toward creating a mural on a large brick wall alongside The Bagel Spot at 101-01 Queens Blvd. The project’s total cost is $10,000.

Well-known Forest Hills resident Michael Perlman started fundraising last month via a GoFundMe page. The mural will display historic and now-demolished Forest Hills buildings, with city-based artist Gigi Chen expected to take on the project.
