Elderly Woman Shoved Down Forest Hills Subway Stairs, NYPD Says

FOREST HILLS, NY — An elderly woman was shoved down a flight of stairs in an unprovoked Forest Hills subway attack, according to police.

A man attacked the woman, 68, at the Union Turnpike-Kew Gardens subway station last Monday about 9:30 a.m., police said.

The woman had been trying to leave the station when the man shoved her down the stairs then ran away, police said.

She refused medical attention, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect Monday and asked anyone with information about the incident to call the NYPD tip line.
