Popular Ramen Chain Opens Forest Hills Restaurant
Kyuramen, a rapidly growing ramen chain specializing in slow-cooked broth, opened its newest restaurant on Queens Boulevard.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Kyuramen, a popular and rapidly-growing ramen chain, opened its newest restaurant in Forest Hills Tuesday.
The restaurant located at 108-50 Queens Blvd., near 71st Road, is occupying the space previously leased by the fast food chain Cheeburger Cheeburger.
Centered on a signature 18-hour slow-cooked broth, Kyuramen was founded by Gary Lin, who studied "the art of ramen" in Japan before bringing it to the U.S., with a focus on affordability, according to the restaurant.

The Forest Hills menu will be the same as its other locations, featuring nine different bowls of ramen — described by Gothamist as "extremely reasonably priced" — appetizers like gyoza and bao buns, and more inventive dishes like "ramen burgers."
Each restaurant's interior is inspired by "traditional Japanese design principles and natural accents," according to the company — described by the New York Times as "a subdued pale wood setting."
