QUEENS, NY — Awkwafina wants 7 train riders to remember to use headphones — even if their playlist is "straight fire."

The Queens-bred, Golden Globe-winning actress is making the 7 train's announcements for the next week to promote her upcoming television show "Nora From Queens," which premieres Wednesday on Comedy Central.

"We are exploring new and different ways to generate much needed revenue, while also surprising and delighting customers," Sarah Meyer, chief customer officer at MTA New York City Transit, said. "Our focus will always be to run the trains safely and on time, and if a well-known voice can bring attention to in-car messaging, we are all for it."

In the half-hour, scripted comedy — inspired by Awkwafina's real life growing up in Forest Hills — the rapper-turned-actress plays Nora Lin, who navigates young adulthood in Queens with the help of her dad (BD Wong), grandma (Lori Tan Chinn) and cousin (Bowen Yang).

It's unclear how much Comedy Central is paying the MTA for the promotion.
