Restaurant To Open At Forest Hills Luxury Building Next To Gym

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Neighbors in Forest Hills looking to grab a bite after a workout will soon have to look no further than next door to the gym.

Prime 107 — an as-yet unknown kind of restaurant — is planning to open in the ground floor of BLVD, a mixed-use condo building on Queens Boulevard near 70th Avenue. Planet Fitness is also planning to open a gym on the condo's ground floor later this summer.

Patch first learned of Prime 107 from a Community Board 6 meeting, where a committee co-chair presented on eateries that sought the board's approval to obtain alcohol licenses.

Prime 107 was unanimously approved for a liquor license, even though the co-chair noted that she did not see a space being set up for the restaurant when she stopped by and could not get any further information about the eatery.

Reached for comment, a representative for RJ Capital Holdings, the development group behind BLVD, did not explicitly confirm the restaurant's opening, but directed Patch towards a person who he said knew more about it.

The person did not immediately respond to Patch's multiple requests for comment.

Opening a restaurant at 107-02 Queens Boulevard brings the 10-story luxury building project full circle: Caffe Biu Bella was among the stores demolished in 2016 to make way for the apartment tower, according to the Forest Hills Post.

BLVD wrapped up construction, and began leasing, last year, Patch reported at the time.
