Tuesday: Crafts at the Library, Invasive Pigments at Queens Botanical Garden

And the library will offer an AARP driving course this afternoon.

The Forest Hills Library, located at 108-19 71st Ave., will offer an AARP driving course and Crafty Tuesdays class today.

THe former, which begins at 2 p.m., is recommended for seniors who intend to reduce their insurance rates.

The latter enables children, ages 5 years and above, to explore their creative side with a variety of materials by making craft projects they can take home to their families. The event begins at 3:30 p.m.

The Queens Botanical Garden's "Invasive Pigments" exhibit is open today from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The display is a series of watercolor-like paintings that explore the migration and proliferation of weeds in tandem with human movement. The garden is located at 43-50 Main St.
