FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Wooden sheds and pine trees have lined New York City's sidewalks since the day after Thanksgiving; a tell-tale sign that Christmas is approaching.

But, since there's no official map showing where neighborhood Christmas-tree stands are located, Patch asked readers to help us make one by letting us know of any in their neighborhood.

We compiled all of the responses into an interactive map, which shows the perfect place in your neighborhood to find a Douglas Fir or Scotch Pine (we can't help with lugging it down the street or up your stairs, though).

In Forest Hills, tree stands are open this year on Austin Street and 67th Road near Austin Street Deli, at Florist Hills and Garden Center on Woodhaven Boulevard, at Metropolitan Avenue and 70th Drive near Angie's Market, and more. Click through the map below to find one near you:

Since the submissions are from readers, Patch can't vouch for every stand's location or how long they will be open.
