BROOKLYN, NY — A fire broke out at a Clinton Hill home Sunday seriously injuring one person, according to the FDNY.

The blaze began shortly before 9 a.m. at 210 Washington Avenue, a two-story family home located on the block between Willoughby and Myrtle Avenues, around the corner from the Pratt Institute, fire officials confirmed.

The FDNY quickly issued an all-hands alarm and about 60 firefighters rushed to the home to quell the first-floor flames, according to the FDNY.

After fighting the fire for under an hour, firefighters got the blaze under control about 9:40 a.m., but one person was still seriously hurt in the process, fire officials said.

The person was rushed to a nearby hospital with "serious," but not life threatening, injuries, according to the FDNY.
