Here is the Drafthouse's description of "The Love Witch."
Arriving to cast her spell over Brooklyn, Anna Biller’s THE LOVE WITCH lands at the Alamo on November 18th, with Biller in person for opening weekend Q&As. Screening on pristine 35mm at all weekend evening shows, THE LOVE WITCH introduces an enchantress named Elaine (Samantha Robinson), who moves to a new town and wastes no time in using spells to lure lovers – and corpses. Genre revisionist Anna Biller’s hyper-stylized, candy-colored retro horror film challenges the gender expectations of the genre, crafting an homage that attacks decades of exploitation tradition and, as the New Yorker wrote, “pulsates with furious creative energy”. Q&As on Friday and Saturday with Anna Biller will be moderated by filmmaker Zach Clark (LITTLE SISTER), critics Miriam Bale and Abbey Bender, and Drafthouse New York Program Manager Cristina Cacioppo. THE LOVE WITCH beckons – will you answer her call?
And "Fantastic Beasts":
If you’re looking for Fantastic Beasts, we can tell you where to find them – at the House of Wax! In celebration of the release of David Yates’ FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, the House of Wax will transform into a Prohibition-era speakeasy on Friday and Saturday nights, complete with custom cocktails, costumed guests, and live performances by Mike Sailors and the Outhouse Jazz Band.
And "Moonlight":
Barry Jenkins’ indie smash MOONLIGHT continues its run at the Drafthouse for the fourth straight week. This week, the Alamo is unveiling a chef’s special menu for the film, replicating an important meal served in the film. Order the Pechuga a la Plancha, add a glass of cabernet, and allow yourself to be bathed in moonlight.
The Brooklyn Alamo Drafthouse is located at 445 Albee Square West, No. 4. Buy tickets and see the full calendar here.
