I can't believe I just started going to this place. I was off of coffee for a bit and now that I have to be up so early...Anyway this is some of the best coffee out there. Did the cold brew in the Summer and not that it's getting chilly I am hooked on their large red eye. I love the fact that they're consistent which means that it doesn't matter who makes the coffee, it's amazeballs. The staff is almost too cheerful. I love it. Always a smile. Now let's move on to the selection of pastries...Dough donuts and then an awesome selection of other goodies. I have to try their breakfast and stay in there one day...

2.) Jill Lindsey, 370 Myrtle Ave.

I'm a little lost trying to explain the magical experience that happens each time you open the door to Jill Lindsey. But let me try.Every time I go there, something new and exciting is going on; facials, comedy night, run clubThe atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Coffee is good and the back yard is a hidden gem.

3.) Olea, 171 Lafayette Ave.

Yelp review:

I love Olea for almost every meal. It's great for people who can't decide what they want to eat because you really can order a bunch of tapas and try lots of delicious things. I'm unsure what the wine selection is, but everytime I ask my server to bring me something dry and white it's absolutely delicious. The bread is good. The service is good. The food comes out quickly. I think there was a comment about portion size, but note that these are tapas usually unless you get an entree (which is quite large I think personally).Solid go-to in the neighborhood, open late to boot. Pickup is quick, but if they had delivery I would be soooooo happpppppy. Hah! Love you Olea.

4.) Peck's, 455A Myrtle Ave.

Yelp review:

Peck's is a lovely cafe. They have an Amazing Array of prepared foods and specialty items. Get a coffee and maybe one of their $1.50 maple biscuits or get there scotch egg wow. Breakfast sandwich so good... Staff is kind and attentive What else do you need ?

5.) Urban Vintage, 294 Grand Ave.

Yelp review:

Talk about an adorable, cozy Brooklyn coffee shop. I'm new to the Clinton Hill area, so I was in need of a coffee spot to get work done. I scoped this place out after my new roommate raved about their truffled grilled cheese. Yes, you heard me, truffled grilled cheese. So of course I had to check it out. It's a decently large coffee shop with an amazing amount of seating. From floor to ceiling, it screams that "urban vintage" vibe with it's mismatched antique chairs and it's rustic chandeliers and dated bookcases... Felt more homey than anything. Aside from its charming ambiance and decor, they had a pretty extensive menu with both food and coffee/tea drinks. Since it was my first time there, I went ahead and ordered something I've never seen before on a cafe menu- a London Fog - a black tea chai latte. So good especially on a cold day.The only downside I experienced is the wifi connection not working. I usually wouldn't consider it a big deal, but when I go to coffee shops to get work done, it's a bit annoying when the connection is out.
