High-Rise Fire Near Atlantic Terminal

The New York Fire Department responded to a blaze in a high-rise near Atlantic Terminal earlier Monday afternoon.

The fire occurred in an apartment on the 11th floor at 161 S. Elliott Place at approximately 4 p.m., according to fire officials. The structure is a Mitchell-Lama co-op building with 200 apartments.

65 firefighters from 12 units helped put out the fire at 4:23 p.m., according to FDNY.

No injuries were reported.
