Hungry Ghost Coffee Shop Opens Second Fort Greene Location
The fifth location for Hungry Ghost opened Wednesday on the ground-floor of the luxury building at 80 DeKalb Ave., owners announced.

FORT GREENE, NY — The Brooklyn-based coffee chain Hungry Ghost opened their fifth outpost on the ground-floor of a luxury building on DeKalb Avenue on Wednesday, owners said.
The coffee bar opened a 420-square-feet space at DKLB BKLYN, a 36-story tower at 80 DeKalb Ave., which will serve up Stumptown coffee, espresso, cold brew and pastries.

The new Fort Greene outpost, across the street from Long Island University, was announced last summer and expected to open in October, but it was pushed back until January. It's the company's second location in the neighborhood after they opened a spot at 781 Fulton St. in 2013.

The chain opened their first location in Prospect Heights in 2012 then expanded to three other spots in Brooklyn and Manhattan, according to owner Murat Uyaroglu.
