Man Hits Young Son With Bottle in Fort Greene, Police Say

The man was having a fight with his wife when he threw a bottle at her, but missed and hit his 4-year-old son instead, police said.

FORT GREENE, NY — A man tried to throw a glass bottle at his wife during a fight in Fort Greene, but hit his 4-year-old son instead, police said.

The 32-year-old man got into a fight with his 34-year-old wife in front of 127 N. Portland Ave. at about 8 p.m. on Monday when he threw the bottle at his wife, according to police and the New York Post.

He missed and accidentally hit his young son in the head instead, police said. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries, the NYPD said.

The father ran off after he hit his son with the bottle and police are still looking for him, the Post reported.
