Photos Of Brooklyn Train Run In-Turned-Slashing Suspect Released: NYPD
The man is accused of slashing a straphanger at a subway station near Fort Greene Park after accidentally bumping into him, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police released surveillance footage Thursday of a man they say repeatedly slashed a straphanger earlier this week after bumping into him at a subway station near Fort Greene Park.
The attacker bumped into the 55-year-old straphanger near the entrance of the Jay Street-MetroTech subway station about 6 p.m. and subsequently punched and knifed him, police said.
An NYPD spokesperson originally said the victim tried to push the assailant away from him after the punch — prompting the slashing — but police updated the information Thursday to say the victim didn't fight back.

Police also added that the attacker verbally threatened to hurt the straphanger before punching him in the face and slashing him on the back and face.
The 55-year-old was taken to the hospital in stable condition after the attack, police said Thursday.

The assailant, who ran away from the station, was described by police as about 40-years-old and six feet tall.
He was last seen wearing a gray Adidas sweatshirt, dark colored jeans and black boots, according to the NYPD.
As of Thursday evening, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
The NYPD asked that anyone with information about the attack report it to police.
