Woman Fatally Struck By Truck In Fort Greene, Police Say
The woman was crossing Ashland Avenue when she was hit by the truck on Saturday, police said.
FORT GREENE, NY — A woman was fatally hit by a truck as she tried to cross a Fort Greene street on Saturday night, police said.
The 27-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was trying to cross Ashland Avenue near Dekalb Avenue when the truck crashed into her at about 6:29 p.m., the NYPD said. The victim was taken to Brooklyn Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver remained on scene and was not arrested, the NYPD said.
