Officer Hurt, Hospitalized As Roosevelt Man Resists Arrest: Police

Shabez Hall was arrested and faces charged that include assault, police said.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A police officer was injured while attempting to place a Roosevelt man into custody on Wednesday, authorities said.

Shabez Hall, 30, violated an order of protection by entering the victim's Roosevelt home just before 6 p.m., police said.

As Hall became violent and combative while resisting arrest, an officer was hurt and transported to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Hall is charged with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal contempt and resisting arrest. He was scheduled for arraignment on Thursday.
