It happened just after 6 p.m. on Thursday.
GARDEN CITY, NY — The Macys in Roosevelt Field was robbed by two men early Thursday evening, police said.
An asset protection employee in the store observed the two men, both 18 and from Hempstead, concealing merchandise as they passed points of purchase, police said.
The store worker approached the men near the exit and escorted them back inside the store. In an attempt to flee, he refused to cooperate and physically resisted, authorities said. The store employee managed to stop him outside the store.
