2 Nassau Stores A Mile Apart Robbed At Gunpoint
Police are investigating both armed robberies, and ask anyone with information to come forward.
NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Nassau County police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred on Thursday in stores about a mile apart.
According to police, the first robbery happened at 4 a.m. at a 7-Eleven located at 333 Oak St. in Uniondale. Police say a man entered the store, approached the clerk, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. The clerk gave the man cash, and the robber fled on foot.
The second robbery occurred at a Dunkin' Donuts, located at 467 Old Country Road in Westbury, at 7:20 p.m. Police say the robber entered the store, approached the clerk, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. The clerk gave him the money, and he fled on foot.

No one was hurt in either robbery.
In both cases, police say the robber was a thin black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. The first robber was wearing a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants. The second robber was wearing a black sweatshirt and sweatpants, as well as a black mask. Police have not said whether or not the same person was responsible for both robberies.
