3 People Attacked Clerk, Robbed Store: Nassau Police
Police say a man handcuffed the clerk and punched him in the head, then others helped him rob the store.

BELLEROSE TERRACE, NY — Three people robbed a store and attacked a clerk on the Nassau/Queens border Saturday morning, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
According to police, a man and woman entered It's Lit Smoke Shop, located at 225-06 Jamaica Ave. in Bellerose Terrace, at 6:15 a.m. Police say the man walked behind the counter and forced the employee, a 37-year-old man, into a back room, where he punched him in the face and restrained him with handcuffs.
A second man then entered the store, and police say all three suspects began to take merchandise and cash from the register. The three then fled south on 225th Street.

The clerk had a small cut to his head and declined medical attention.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
