3 Shot On Crowded Nassau Street
Police say three people were shot, but none were severely wounded.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — Three people were wounded after more than a dozen shots were fired on a crowded Hempstead street Monday night.
Hempstead police received ShotSpotter notifications at 90 Maple Avenue just before 9 p.m. Police arrived at the scene and found one person who had been shot in the back. Two other people were shot and got themselves to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to Newsday, there were 17 ShotSpotter notifications.
