Sea Cliff Home Deemed Uninhabitable After House Fire: FD
Approximately 100 firefighters were on scene, fire marshals say.
SEA CLIFF, NY — A Sea Cliff home has been deemed uninhabitable after a fire occurred on Friday, fire marshals said.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said they received a call for a house fire on Leonard Place at 5:19 p.m.
Fire marshals said the fire was in the basement of the 2.5-story Cape-style house, and the house was deemed not habitable.

The residents self-evacuated, and no injuries were reported, fire marshals said.
The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes by Sea Cliff FD, with assisted mutual aid from Glenwood, Locust Valley, and Roslyn fire departments, fire marshals said. There were approximately 100 firefighters on scene, fire marshals said.

The fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office and NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad, fire marshals said.
