Adelphi University Student Recorded Woman In Bathroom: Police

Police say the man followed a woman into the bathroom to record her, then fled.

GARDEN CITY, NY — An Adelphi University student was arrested last week after Nassau County police say he was caught recording a female student in the bathroom.

According to Garden City police, a female student entered the bathroom in Earle Hall at 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 5. She saw a man enter the bathroom after her, and then flee from the bathroom.

Police say an investigation found that the man — 20-year-old Fahad Khan — had recorded the woman in the bathroom. He was arrested on Dec. 10.

Khan is charged with second-degree unlawful surveillance and fourth-degree stalking. He was arraigned on Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead and released on a temporary order of protection.

Police ask anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of a similar incident to call Garden City detectives at (516) 465-4150. All callers will remain anonymous.
