Bicyclist Struck By Car Early Monday
The 40-year-old bicyclist from Garden City received a back injury and was taken to a nearby hospital.

A bicyclist was transported to an area hospital via Nassau County ambulance after being struck by a car at approximately 7 a.m. Monday.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and Tanners Pond Road, according to police commissioner Kenneth Jackson.
A 95-year-old male driver from Floral Park was heading east on Stewart Avenue, making a left turn onto Tanners Pond Road when he collided with the 40-year-old bicyclist, a Garden City resident who was traveling west on Stewart Avenue, according to a police report.
The bicyclist received a back injury as a result of the accident, Jackson said.
