Big Brothers Big Sisters Raises $10,000 At LI Event
BBBSLI is dedicated to creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the potential of youth across Long Island.

WESTBURY, NY — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) had a successful partnership over the weekend with the Long Island Chapter of The Ferrari Club of America. An event raised $10,000, Kristin Thorne, a BBBSLI board member and event organizer, told Patch.
During Sunday's private Ferrari Club event in Westbury, Bigs (mentors) and Littles (mentees) from within the BBBSLI program viewed a collection of more than 30 Ferraris.
"We are thankful to the Long Island Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America for joining with BBBSLI to raise awareness about the need for male mentors. The Ferrari car show is an example of the many fun events we sponsor monthly for our Bigs and Littles, Thorne, a veteran ABC7 reporter, said. "We take the hard work out of being a mentor so our matches can focus on having fun and building connections."
